Chef Stüttgen’s style is based on French cuisine with Mediterranean influences and even more:
it is a cuisine of ideas, playful without gimmicks, food full of aromatic complexity, transmitted with dedication on flavourful intensity.
The first-class products do not disappear behind spices, well balanced gravy and multi-faceted side orders: they are revealing an ultimate sensation of taste. The seasonal and weekly changing menu is offering multilayered, well-grounded and light treat – full of substantial ideas, for lunch as well as for dinner.
The diversified wine list does not deny it’s French roots, but exhilarates thanks to its convincing choice of all different growths.
If it’s the balanced underlining or provoking contrast between wine and food – with the recommendations of Sommelier Benjamin Karsunke, all senses of taste are uplifted to new dimensions. By the glass, individual to each course – the guests enjoy wines, which taste more than they cost.
Obviously, the aged classics from Bordeaux and Burgundy, but also unknown extraordinary wines, such as Jurançon, Anjou, organic growths, exciting Cuvées from Leithaberg or the famous wines of the Douro Boys. The extravagant choice of digestives does leave nothing to be desired and is offering surprises – if they are made out of hazelnut or ginger – the perfect finish of a culinary experience
